As the season draws to an end, Midhurst Camera Club held their last league competition on 4th April at The Angel Hotel.

The entries submitted were required to meet the subject of Red. A diverse interpretation was submitted by members, making for a varied selection of topics.

After short listing the entries, judge, John Holmes, from Pulborough, awarded the following places:

Prints: First - Brendon Davies (Midhurst), second and third - Hilly Hoar (Petworth)
Slides: First - Hilly Hoar, second - Rob Sadler (Petworth) and third - Hilly Hoar




The overall winner of the Beaton Cup was Brendon with his print and runner up, best image in the opposite medium, was Hilly with her slide.

Elly Beintema was awarded the Newcomers Award for her successful highly commended award in her first competition at the club, giving inspiration to those who think “my work isn’t good enough”.

A social photographic day out to, Wisley Gardens, is planned for Sunday, 15th April for members and guests. Meet time of 10am at the North Street car park in Midhurst.

The last meeting is on the 18th April which is the AGM and enprint competition and the season ends off with the annual dinner and prize giving, being held at The Angel Hotel on the 28th April.
