To the members, friends old and new, seasons greetings.

As this is my first Christmas as your president it is time to reflect on the season to date which I am sure you will agree has been excellent, but has needed a lot of hard work from those involved.
However without the input the results will not be achieved.

The start of the season saw the setting up of the clubs web site by Karen and Rachel. This has a wealth of information and provides the latest news to members. Please remember to look on a regular basis as you may miss an exciting event.

Karen has excelled in her role as Chair having set up an extensive “e” mail network to promote the clubs activities and special events. She has also obtained substantial sponsorship.
We have formed a link with Midhurst Grammar School under the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and will have six pupils participating in the new year and look forward to seeing their ideas.

The membership has nearly doubled from that of last year and we are in a strong financial position. We can look forward to an exciting programme ahead. We have had our first digital workshop and more are planned. Negotiations are also under way for another captivating key note lecture from a top photographer.

The committee welcome ideas and suggestions for future events.

Grateful thanks to the committee and members for their help at the special events and our club nights.

With all good wishes for Christmas and 2008.
John
