About us
What is the Club about?
Midhurst Camera Club is a social club for people who love taking photographs and it gives its members the opportunity to learn and improve by:** having inspirational guest speaker photographers come to show us their work.
The programme has a number of speaker evenings covering a variety of topics.
A raffle is held during the course of the evening with prizes donated by the members.
** running competitions for members who want to show their own work and have it judged by someone outside of the club.
Please see the guidelines for entering competitions.
** running workshops on camera techniques and digital imaging. These two independent workshops are run throughout the season, generally monthly.
These workshops are practical and allow members the opportunity to learn hands on.
The camera technique workshops cover all aspects of using your camera. In the digital imaging workshops we learn how to edit on computer using software such as Photoshop, using state of the art digital equipment, thanks to the "Arts for All" scheme funded by the National Lottery.
** learning from each other.
This is ongoing and is all about members sharing ideas and asking questions from other members.
** social events.
We arrange social events based around photography and have a Christmas and an Annual Dinner. Feedback from the members help the committee to decide what events to organize.
